The New England Barbecue Society Grilling Rules apply.
 (Exceptions are noted).

Categories:
NY Strip Steak
Chicken
Sausage Fatty
Pizza

All entries must be presented in six or more identifiable portions.

Garnish and turn-in times are as follows:

                NY Strip Steak turn in - 7:00 pm - NEBS Standard Garnish
                       Entries will NOT be cut by table captains.
               
                Chicken – turn in - 7:30 pm - NEBS Open Garnish

                Sausage Fatty* turn in - 8:00 pm - NEBS Standard Garnish
                                **STUFFING IS ALLOWED – any kind you want.
               
                Pizza turn in - 8:30 - No Garnish.  

*A “sausage fatty” is basically a sausage roll without a casing (think Jimmy Dean).  It is made of ground meat and may be either stuffed with other ingredients, or have ingredients mixed throughout. It can be pre-seasoned. It may not be pre-cooked or contain pre-cooked ingredients.

** Stuffing is allowed in the Fatty Category.
***Chunky sauce is allowed in all categories***           
***Turn in boxes for all categories (including pizza) is a 9x9 styrofoam clamshell***

 ALL meats will be inspected by a KCBS Reps Linda and Jerry Mullane or a designated NEBS official beginning at noon on July 2nd.  All meats must be kept at 40 degrees or lower for health reasons until cooked.

"The Best Ribs in the EAST" in memory of Mike Grudzinskas. From 1:00 pm till 3:30 pm on July 3rd teams will be able to sell one rib for $1-Buck to the general public, You can bring pre-smoked ribs or raw if you wish.  It is up to each team how much ribs you are planning to sell. You must sell ribs as an individual bone only. You can't sell half a rack or full rack of ribs. General public will choose the winner.  Winner will receive 2 airline tickets on Southwest airline anywhere in the country, second place $200 and prize, third place $150 and prize, 4-10 place $50.

Milano North Top Chef Competition. ILBBQF presents to the chef's, cook's, bbq teams pit masters the opportunity to participate in the Inaugural Lake Placid Top Chef competition. During a 45 minute live demonstration participants are required to present to the general public a dish that is demonstrated in front of the public. Dish must include 3 major components meat/fish, veggie and fruit. After the presentation is over the general public must taste the demonstrated food. Lake Placid Top Chef competition will take place during ILBBQF on July 3-5th. During your presentation the public in attendance will receive a voting card with a point system (see below).  After the presentation is over the ILBBQF staff will collect the cards and calculate the total score. On July 4th between 4-5:00 pm LP’s top Chef will be named. First place winner will receive $500, trophy and prizes, second place $300 and prizes, third place $200 and prizes, 4-6 place $50.
