All day children’s fun inflatables attractions, food, beverages available to purchase, other vendors.
6:20 pm – 7:00 pm – Music performance by Larry Stone
7:20 pm – 8:00 pm – Music performance by Carl Rubino 

 

BBQ Teams competition/CBJ information

4:30 pm – 6:00 pm – Pay $2 for 2oz. for pull pork – People’s choice Award. Bacon price TBA– (public tasting events – prepared by competitive teams).

 

9:00 pm: Doors close.

1:00 pm – 2:30 pm – The Best Ribs in the East People’s/Buck a Rib – People’s Choice Award - Pay $1 get 1 rib (public tasting event – ribs prepared by competitive teams)
2:00 – 2:20 Free style BMX bikes Krusher stunt team performance
2:20 – 2:50 Top chef demonstration - Pit Master Greg Boggs (Boggs Hog BBQ)
2:20 – 3:00 pm - Music performance by All Without the Bass
3:20 - 4:00 pm - Music performance by Ursa and the Major Key
4:00 – 5;00 pm – Exhibition match between cornhole competitive players
4:00 – 4:30 pm – Top Chef demonstration - Pit Master Cole Kowalski (Risk it for the brisket)
4:20- 5:00 pm – Music performance by Danni Nicholls
5:20 -6:00 pm - Music performance Junior Sixteen
5:30 – 6:00 pm – Top Chef Demonstration – Pit Master Cameron Symonds
6-6:20 Free style BMX bikes Krusher stunt team performance

6:20 – 7:50 pm – Performance Arts Connection presents professional wrestling with stars like Crusher Bigelow (Hardcore Icon), Scrap Iron (The Iron Man of PAC) and others.

 

BBQ Teams/CBJ information

11:00 am - Celebrity judges meeting with Master Judges Linda and Jerry Mullane at the VIP building.
12:00 pm – Kids in the kitchen (hot dogs turn in)
12:30 pm – Kids in the kitchen (dessert turn in)
5:30 - 6:00 pm – Turn in time for Quinn Family Barbecue and Hot Sauce Competition.
6:30 pm – All teams participating in KCBS Competition meet with KCBS Master Judges Louis Weidner and Bob McKee at the VIP building.

 

7:30 pm – Award Ceremonies – The Best Ribs in the East, Quinn Family Barbecue & Hot Sauce Competition. Kids in the kitchen, Top chef. 

 All day children’s fun inflatable attractions, food, beverages available to purchase, other vendors.

8:30 pm – Doors Close,

BBQ Teams/CBJ information

9:00 am - Judges Sign in for KCBS contest at the VIP building.

10:15 am (mandatory) judges for KCBC contest must be in judging area for their seat assignment. You must be present inside the judging area at that time, or you will not be seated.
10:30 am Judges meeting with KCBS Master Judges Lois Weidner and Bob McKee

11:55 am – Judging begins.

 KCBS sanctioned event begins.

12:00 pm – CHICKEN TURN-IN
12:30 pm – RIBS TURN-IN
1:00 pm – PORK BUTT / SHOULDER TURN-IN
1:30 pm – BEEF BRISKET TURN-IN
4:15 pm – Award ceremonies for KCBS competition: 1st place – Grand Champion $1,500, 2nd place - $1,000, 3rd place - $1,000. Each category $1000. Total cash prizes are $8,500.

 

If you are interested to win $10,000 and other cash prizes, you can purchase raffle tickets by visiting www.shipmanyouthcenter.org, press donate, purchase ticket and we will send your ticket number.  Tickets $100 each (only 300 tickets sold).

5:00 pm – ILBBQF event is over, but gates remain open for food sales till vendors close.
